Golf Clubs and Japanese Food

June 2nd, 2008

Did you know that Kit Yan is an expert golf player? I didn’t until we spent five days in L.A. where we played golf with my best friend Han’s dad. Here’s Kit showing off his perfect posture and follow through swing.

Here’s Mr. Yu showing off his mad putting skills and fashionable Nike cap.

And here’s me, looking very determined to bludgeon the shit out of the golf ball.

I think I found my sport.

Of course after our work out we had to eat, as always. We ventured (again) into Little Tokyo for some fresh ramen and shabu. Mmm.

While in the parking lot of the Shabu restaurant, our tour car got backed into by a gigantic SUV. Yes, that’s right. Our first accident. Clearly the mammoth beast of a vehicle did not see our poor compact car as it pulled out of its spot. Luckily, for us, we got to eat shabu right afterwards. Once we saw the boiling pot of broth, our first thought was “What accident?”

And when one eats with Kit Yan, you can never forget dessert. In Little Tokyo, there are Japanese desserts galore.

Tour Quote of the Day:

“I’m feeling like I need some uterus to uterus time.” - Kit
